What do expats find most challenging?

Answer this Question

We asked expats and digital nomads what they find the most challenging about the local culture in Russia. They wrote...

"Expats in Russia often find the language barrier to be one of the most challenging aspects of the local culture. Additionally, the cultural norms and expectations can be difficult to navigate, as they are often quite different from those of other countries. Furthermore, the bureaucracy and paperwork associated with living in Russia can be overwhelming and time-consuming. Finally, the climate can be a challenge for those who are not used to the cold winters and short summers," said another expat in Russia.
