What are the most rewarding aspects of retiring in Colombia?
We asked retirees what they find the most rewarding about retiring in Colombia. They wrote...
"We have so many more friends than we had in the US. We are much more relaxed. Our marital relationship is better than it has ever been. We don't need or want a car. We feel very safe. We are working to establish a new English speaking church specifically for Expats," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Medellin, Colombia.
"One of the most rewarding aspects of retiring in Colombia is the opportunity to immerse oneself in its rich culture and heritage. With its stunning natural beauty and vibrant cities, Colombia offers countless different activities and attractions for retirees to enjoy. The low cost of living also makes it a great place to get by comfortably on a fixed income. Additionally, the improved transportation infrastructure and comprehensive healthcare system provide retirees with the security they need. Finally, the friendly, welcoming people of Colombia make it an ideal place to meet new people and explore the country while making long-lasting friendships," commented one expat who made the move to Colombia.
