We asked retirees what it is like retiring in Hungary. They said...

"It is a great city, culturally, recreation and schools. However as other major cities the air is not so clean all the time. Many events are held and traffic is shut down. Public trans while not cheap it is a fair deal and monthly passes or higher is the way to go," wrote a member who made the move to Budapest, Hungary.

"Retirees in Hungary and its surroundings enjoy a vibrant and active lifestyle. There is an active expat community, with many retirees from other countries living in the area. There are plenty of cultural attractions to explore, such as the many museums, galleries, and historic sites. There are also plenty of recreational activities to enjoy, such as hiking, biking, and swimming. For those looking for a more active nightlife, there are plenty of bars, clubs, and restaurants to explore," explained one expat living in Hungary.
