What are healthcare services like in Ethiopia?
We asked retirees if they have access to good medical care in Ethiopia. They wrote...
"Healthcare services in Ethiopia are generally limited and of low quality. Access to healthcare is often difficult due to a lack of infrastructure and resources. The majority of healthcare services are provided by the government, with a few private clinics and hospitals available in larger cities. The majority of healthcare workers are poorly trained and lack the necessary resources to provide adequate care. The country also suffers from a shortage of medical supplies and equipment, which further limits the quality of care available. Despite these challenges, the Ethiopian government is making efforts to improve healthcare services, including increasing access to primary care and investing in health infrastructure," remarked another expat in Ethiopia.
