Is there a lot of crime in Ireland?
We asked people if there is a lot of crime. They answered...
"Crime is a reality in Ireland, just as it is in any other country. While Ireland itself remains a safe place overall, petty crimes such as pickpocketing and vehicle theft, as well as more serious crimes such as burglary and drug related offenses, are occasionally reported. In recent years, there has been an increase in the visibility of gang-related violence and crime, particularly in Dublin and other large cities," said a member in Ireland.

"Petty crime occurs here but nothing major and not frequent. That was a factor in deciding to choose Tobercurry. Our town is a very diverse community, accepting of everyone. Anyone not a resident is usually identified," remarked another expat who made the move to Tobercurry, Ireland.
