Is there a lot of crime in Morocco?

Answer this Question

We asked people if there is a lot of crime. They answered...

"Crime does exist in Morocco, although it is generally considered to be relatively low compared to other countries in the region. Petty crime such as pickpocketing and bag snatching is common in tourist areas, and there have been reports of violent crime in some cities. However, the overall crime rate in Morocco is lower than in many other countries in the region," wrote a member who made the move to Morocco.

"Very safe. Pickpockets are around, but have never had a problem. Nothing like Barcelona," explained one expat living in Rabat, Morocco.
