When we asked people living in Japan about club and activities where newcomers can meet others, they responded...
"Aikido or any other martial arts activities. SCUBA diving through a certified instructor, there are plenty on island to sort through. If you have the talent to coach kids or referee any sport activities you will enjoy that as well. All over this island coaches and referees are always needed," remarked another expat in Okinawa, Japan.
"Expats in Japan often join clubs and activities such as language exchange groups, sports teams, and cultural activities. Expats can also meet people by attending events such as festivals, concerts, and art exhibitions. Additionally, many expats find it helpful to join online forums and social media groups related to their interests, as well as attending meetups and networking events. Finally, expats can also meet people by simply exploring their local area and getting to know their neighbors," said a member in Japan.
