When we asked people about industries and career opportunities in China, they reponded...

"I don't know what the main industries are in Beijing. I only have experience teaching although exporting cheap Chinese goods is common. Any type of career opportunities exist if you are a native English speaker, although outside teaching, Mandarin is helpful. Word of mouth and who you know are how most people already living here find work. The internet is second if you don't live here already. Dave's ESL cafe is a good place to start," commented one expat who made the move to Beijing, China.

"Foreigners in China often work in teaching, hospitality, or professional services, such as consulting and business development. They may also work in the fields of finance, software engineering, healthcare, and engineering. With the right skills and training, foreigners can even find roles as lawyers, financial advisers, and public relations representatives," remarked another expat in China.
