Will I be able to find a job in Colombia?
When we asked people about industries and career opportunities in Colombia, they reponded...
"In terms of expat opportunities, Medellin is becoming known as a prime location from which to do telecommuting work. People also come hoping to teach English here although pay is not particularly good. However, i know a man who is teaching English to children via internet in China so there are a lot of opportunities. If a person wants to work here, it would be essential to have a working knowledge of Spanish. I get along in English quite well, however, i am very limited not knowing Spanish," remarked another expat who made the move to Medellin, Colombia.
"Foreigners often find employment in Colombia as English teachers, tour guides, or in other service jobs such as hospitality or retail positions. They may also find work in IT, marketing, or engineering positions. Additionally, there are freelance opportunities such as graphic design or web development," explained one expat living in Colombia.
