"There aren't a lot of career opportunities here. Most wouldn't come here UNLESS they already have a job in Lao ready to go. I guess the main industry would be in mining," said another expat in Vientiane, Laos.
"Foreigners often work in Laos as English teachers, tour guides, hospitality workers, and in various other service industry jobs. They may also work in the IT sector, as well as in the banking and finance industries. Additionally, some foreigners may find employment in the agricultural sector, such as in farming or forestry," wrote a member who made the move to Laos.
