When we asked people about diversity in Ireland and whether locals are accepting of differences, they said...

"Not bad. There is increasing diversity, with about 60 ethnic groups now represented in the city. There is still some intolerance or even outright racism, but the attitude is far better in Limerick than in Dublin, for example," remarked another expat who made the move to Limerick, Ireland.

"Ireland is a diverse nation made up of people from many backgrounds and cultures. While Irish society is predominantly white, recently there has been an influx of immigrants from places such as Africa, Eastern Europe, and Asia, who have been embraced with open arms by local communities. People in Ireland are highly accepting of diversity and strive to create an inclusive and safe space for everyone, no matter their race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or immigration status," explained one expat living in Ireland.
