Is there a lot of diversity? Are people in Israel accepting of differences?
When we asked people about diversity in Israel and whether locals are accepting of differences, they said...
"Israel is a diverse country with a population that is composed of many different ethnic and religious backgrounds. People of Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Druze, and other backgrounds live in Israel. There is a strong sense of acceptance and tolerance in Israel, and people of different backgrounds often live and work together in harmony. The Israeli government has also taken steps to ensure that all citizens are treated equally and fairly, regardless of their background," said another expat in Israel.
"I wouldn't recommend wandering through religious neighborhoods of Jerusalem on Shabat since you may be spit on or even bitten. In the Old City of Jerusalem and all arab areas it's not advisable to walk around in a shirt that doesn't cover sholders," wrote a member who made the move to Jerusalem, Israel.
