What should I pack when moving to Uganda?
We asked people living in Uganda to list three things they wish they had brought and three they wish they had left behind. They responded...
"When moving to Uganda, it is important to pack items that will help you adjust to the climate and culture. Pack clothing that is lightweight and breathable, such as cotton and linen, as well as items that will protect you from the sun, such as hats and sunglasses. Bring comfortable shoes for walking, as well as a pair of sandals for the hot weather. Additionally, it is important to bring any necessary medications, as well as a first aid kit. Don't forget to bring a few items that will help you feel at home, such as photos, books, and music. Finally, make sure to bring a valid passport and any other important documents," said another expat in Uganda.
