We asked people living in Fiji to list three things they wish they had brought and three they wish they had left behind. They responded...

"3 things I wish I had brought: more Coffee, Stronger insect repellent & quality chocolate (4th thing would be my hairdresser !) 3 things I could have left at home were half my suitcase, shoes and makeup - no need," remarked another expat in Sigatoka Valley, Fiji.

"When moving to Fiji, it is important to pack items that will help you adjust to the tropical climate. Pack lightweight, breathable clothing such as shorts, t-shirts, and sundresses. Bring a hat and sunglasses to protect yourself from the sun. Bring comfortable shoes for walking and exploring the island. Don't forget to pack swimwear and beach towels for enjoying the beautiful beaches. Bring a light jacket or sweater for cooler evenings. Be sure to bring any necessary medications and toiletries. Lastly, don't forget to bring a camera to capture all of your amazing experiences in Fiji," said a member in Fiji.
