We asked people living in Guatemala to list three things they wish they had brought and three they wish they had left behind. They responded...

"When moving to Guatemala, it is important to pack items that will help you adjust to the climate and culture. Pack comfortable, lightweight clothing that is appropriate for the warm climate. Bring a few items of clothing that can be layered for cooler evenings. Make sure to bring a good pair of walking shoes, as well as a hat and sunglasses for protection from the sun. Bring any necessary medications, as well as a first aid kit. It is also important to bring items that will help you feel at home, such as books, photos, and other personal items. Don't forget to bring a valid passport and any other necessary documents," wrote a member who made the move to Guatemala.
