What should I pack when moving to Romania?
We asked people living in Romania to list three things they wish they had brought and three they wish they had left behind. They responded...
"Ummm... good question to ask... power transformers to charge batteries, electric shavers, etc. and/or a large a transformer for coffee pots, power tools, toasters, etc. For me I packed Lipton Ice Tea and a lot of Tapatio Hot Sauce (Tabasco is available here). Laptop is a must to have. My two U.S. cell phones work here with a new chip from Vodafone phone service. Vodafone offers the best service plans. One other tip... to access our email, Amazon, banking, etc. they all want to send a code to my old U.S. phone number. Very lucky and pleased that my LycaMobile cell phone card from USA works in Romania and I can dial USA for free. Using my USA number here in Transylvania is a life saver," wrote a member who made the move to Romania.

WISH I HAD LEFT AT HOME: Creams and all those body care products, A dress that I hoped to get into again after miraculously loosing some weight, suit," explained one expat living in Bucharest, Romania.
