"Tanzania is a beautiful and diverse country with a rich culture and history. Expats should be aware that the official language is Swahili, although English is widely spoken in urban areas. It is important to research the local laws and customs before moving to Tanzania, as there are certain restrictions on certain activities. Expats should also be aware that the cost of living in Tanzania is generally lower than in other countries, but that the quality of goods and services may not be as high. Additionally, expats should be aware that the healthcare system in Tanzania is not as advanced as in other countries, and that medical insurance is highly recommended. Finally, expats should be aware that the climate in Tanzania can be quite hot and humid, and that the rainy season can bring heavy rains and flooding," explained one expat living in Tanzania.
