What do I need to know before moving to Antigua & Barbuda?
When we asked people what advice they would give someone preparing to move to Antigua & Barbuda, they said...
"Antigua & Barbuda is a beautiful Caribbean nation with a rich culture and history. Expats should be aware that English is the official language, and that the local currency is the Eastern Caribbean Dollar (XCD). Expats should also be aware that the climate is tropical, with temperatures ranging from the mid-70s to the mid-80s Fahrenheit year-round. Additionally, expats should be aware that the cost of living in Antigua & Barbuda is relatively high, and that the country has a high crime rate. Finally, expats should be aware that the country has a strong tourism industry, and that there are many opportunities for employment in the tourism sector," commented one expat who made the move to Antigua & Barbuda.
