We asked expats in Malaysia what banks they use and there advice about banking. They advised...

"Before retiring in Malaysia, expats should familiarize themselves with the cost of living in the country. Expats should also do their research on the taxation and visa requirements which may affect their ability to stay in the country. It is a good idea for expats to look into the local healthcare system to get a good idea of the available medical facilities and insurance options. Expats should also check the political climate in the area they are planning to retire in to ensure they will feel safe and secure. Lastly, it is advisable to make sure there are adequate social activities, such as clubs or events, which will facilitate a fun and rich retirement experience," said a member in Malaysia.
