Are common prescription medications available in Uganda?
When we asked expats in Uganda if common prescription medications are available in Uganda, they wrote...
"Yes, common prescription medications are available in Uganda. However, the availability of certain medications may vary depending on the region. Generally, most medications used to treat common illnesses such as malaria, HIV/AIDS, and tuberculosis are available in Uganda. Additionally, some medications used to treat chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and asthma are also available. However, due to limited resources, some medications may be difficult to find or may be of lower quality than those found in other countries," remarked another expat who made the move to Uganda.
