As a foreigner living in Colorado, will I have access to public healthcare? What is it like?

Answer this Question

We asked expats in Colorado if they have access to public healthcare in Colorado. And, if they do have access, what is it like. They wrote...

"As a foreigner living in Colorado, you may be eligible for public healthcare depending on your immigration status. Colorado offers a variety of public health care options, including Medicaid, Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+), and the Colorado Indigent Care Program (CICP). Medicaid and CHP+ provide health care coverage for low-income individuals and families, while CICP provides health care services to those who are uninsured and have limited financial resources. The quality of care provided by these programs varies, but generally they provide access to a wide range of health care services, including preventive care, primary care, and specialty care," said another in Colorado.
