What have your experiences during the pandemic with the local healthcare system been like?
When we asked expats and global nomads in France about their experiences during the pandemic with the local healthcare system, they replied...
"I herniated a disc in my back during lockdown and my treatment was swift and ongoing. I was able to have physiotherapy and to see a specialist. I am extremely satisfied with my treatment," wrote a member who made the move to St Nicolas du Pelem, France.

"The pandemic has had a significant impact on the French healthcare system. The government has implemented a number of measures to ensure the safety of patients and healthcare workers, including the introduction of telemedicine, the use of protective equipment, and the implementation of social distancing protocols. Despite these measures, the healthcare system has been overwhelmed by the influx of patients, leading to long wait times and delays in care. Additionally, the pandemic has caused a shortage of medical staff, as many healthcare workers have been forced to take time off due to illness or quarantine. Despite these challenges, the French healthcare system has been able to provide quality care to those in need," explained one expat living in France.
