Are foreigners allowed to own property in Tajikistan?

Answer this Question

When we asked expats in Tajikistan if foreigners are allowed to own property, they answered...

"Foreigners are allowed to own property in Tajikistan, but there are certain restrictions in place. Foreigners are not allowed to own land, but they can own buildings and other types of real estate. Foreigners must obtain permission from the Tajik government before they can purchase property, and they must also register the property with the local government. Additionally, foreigners are not allowed to own property in certain areas of the country, such as military zones," remarked another expat who made the move to Tajikistan.
