The country has a very open and welcoming attitude towards foreign investment, and the process of buying property is relatively straightforward. Foreigners are able to purchase property in their own name, and there are no restrictions on the type of property that can be purchased. The only requirement is that the property must be registered with the local government. Additionally, foreign investors are able to obtain mortgages from local banks, and there are no restrictions on the amount of money that can be borrowed," said another in Uruguay.
