Are foreigners allowed to own property in Yemen?

Answer this Question

When we asked expats in Yemen if foreigners are allowed to own property, they answered...

"Foreigners are not allowed to own property in Yemen. According to the Yemeni Constitution, only Yemeni citizens are allowed to own land and property in the country. Foreigners are only allowed to lease property in Yemen, and the lease must be approved by the Yemeni government," remarked another expat who made the move to Yemen.
