Are foreigners allowed to own property in Massachusetts?

Answer this Question

When we asked expats in Massachusetts if foreigners are allowed to own property, they answered...

"Yes, foreigners are allowed to own property in Massachusetts. Non-U.S. citizens are able to purchase real estate in the state, however, they must obtain a valid visa in order to do so. Additionally, they must also comply with all applicable federal and state laws, including tax laws. Furthermore, they must also be able to demonstrate that they have the financial resources to purchase the property," remarked another expat who made the move to Massachusetts.
