"Yes, foreigners are allowed to own property in Paraguay. Foreigners are able to purchase property in Paraguay without any restrictions, and they are also able to obtain a title deed in their own name. However, foreigners are not allowed to own land within 20 kilometers of the border, and they must obtain permission from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs before they can purchase any property in this area. Additionally, foreigners are not allowed to own more than 10 hectares of land in Paraguay," explained one expat living in Paraguay.
