Are foreigners allowed to own property in Florida?

Answer this Question

When we asked expats in Florida if foreigners are allowed to own property, they answered...

"Yes, foreigners are allowed to own property in Florida. Non-U.S. citizens are able to purchase real estate in the state, just like any other U.S. citizen. However, they may need to obtain a valid visa in order to do so. Additionally, they may need to obtain a tax identification number from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in order to purchase property in Florida," said a member in Florida.
