Are foreigners allowed to own property in Indiana?

Answer this Question

When we asked expats in Indiana if foreigners are allowed to own property, they answered...

"Yes, foreigners are allowed to own property in Indiana. Non-U.S. citizens may purchase real estate in Indiana, but they must obtain a valid visa and meet all other requirements for foreign ownership. Additionally, they must obtain a tax identification number from the Internal Revenue Service and register with the Indiana Department of Revenue. Foreigners may also need to obtain a business license from the Indiana Secretary of State," remarked another expat who made the move to Indiana.
