Are foreigners allowed to own property in Minnesota?

Answer this Question

When we asked expats in Minnesota if foreigners are allowed to own property, they answered...

"Yes, foreigners are allowed to own property in Minnesota. Non-U.S. citizens may purchase real estate in Minnesota, but they must obtain a valid visa and comply with all applicable laws. Foreigners may also purchase property through a limited liability company (LLC) or other legal entity. However, they must obtain a valid business license and comply with all applicable laws. Additionally, foreign investors may be subject to additional taxes and fees," remarked another expat who made the move to Minnesota.
