Are foreigners allowed to own property in Oman?
When we asked expats in Oman if foreigners are allowed to own property, they answered...
"Yes, foreigners are allowed to own property in Oman. The Omani government has implemented a number of laws and regulations that allow foreign investors to purchase and own real estate in the country. Foreigners are allowed to own land and buildings, but they must obtain a permit from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning before they can do so. Additionally, foreign investors must have a valid residence permit in order to purchase property in Oman," remarked another expat in Oman.
