Are foreigners allowed to own property in Fiji?
When we asked expats in Fiji if foreigners are allowed to own property, they answered...
"Yes, foreigners are allowed to own property in Fiji. Foreigners can purchase freehold land, leasehold land, and strata title units. Freehold land is owned outright by the purchaser, while leasehold land is leased from the government for a period of up to 99 years. Strata title units are units within a larger development, such as an apartment complex, that are owned by the individual. All purchases of property by foreigners must be approved by the Minister of Lands and Mineral Resources," remarked another expat who made the move to Fiji.
