Are foreigners allowed to own property in Haiti?

Answer this Question

When we asked expats in Haiti if foreigners are allowed to own property, they answered...

"Yes, foreigners are allowed to own property in Haiti. The Haitian government has established a legal framework that allows foreign individuals and companies to own and transfer real estate in Haiti. The process of purchasing property in Haiti is similar to that of other countries, and requires the buyer to obtain a deed of sale from the seller, register the deed with the local government, and obtain a title deed from the Ministry of Justice. Additionally, foreign investors are eligible for tax incentives and other benefits when purchasing property in Haiti," explained one expat living in Haiti.
