Are foreigners allowed to own property in Jordan?
When we asked expats in Jordan if foreigners are allowed to own property, they answered...
"Yes, foreigners are allowed to own property in Jordan. The Jordanian government has implemented a number of laws and regulations that allow foreign nationals to purchase and own real estate in the country. Foreigners are allowed to own land and buildings, as well as to lease land and buildings. However, they are not allowed to own agricultural land or to lease it for more than three years. Additionally, foreign nationals must obtain permission from the Ministry of Interior before they can purchase or lease property in Jordan," remarked another expat in Jordan.
