When we asked expats in Kuwait if foreigners are allowed to own property, they answered...

"Foreigners are not allowed to own property in Kuwait. However, they are allowed to lease property for a period of up to 99 years. This is done through a Kuwaiti sponsor, who is responsible for the property and must be present at all times when the property is being used. The sponsor is also responsible for any taxes or fees associated with the property," said a member in Kuwait.
