Are foreigners allowed to own property in Micronesia?
When we asked expats in Micronesia if foreigners are allowed to own property, they answered...
"Foreigners are allowed to own property in Micronesia, but there are certain restrictions. Non-citizens are not allowed to own land, but they can own buildings and other structures on the land. Foreigners can also lease land from the government for up to 99 years. In addition, foreigners can own businesses in Micronesia, but they must register the business with the government and obtain a business license," remarked another expat in Micronesia.
