Are foreigners allowed to own property in Poland?
When we asked expats in Poland if foreigners are allowed to own property, they answered...
"Yes, foreigners are allowed to own property in Poland. Non-EU citizens must obtain a permit from the local Voivode, the governor of the region, in order to purchase property in Poland. EU citizens are allowed to purchase property without a permit. However, they must register the property with the local land registry office. Additionally, foreigners are subject to the same taxes as Polish citizens when purchasing property in Poland," commented one expat who made the move to Poland.
