"The heat is unlike anything I experienced in the US and I am from Houston (3 digit weather that I loved). Here, the humidity makes it feel much hotter than any humid whether in the states. AC is a luxury and man Americans get AC units here. They are not the same kind as in the states. They use 'split' units," explained one expat living in Belize.

"The climate varies from very humid and hot in the rainy season (June through October) to a bit less humid and hot in the winter months when the temperatures can drop to the low 70s F," said another expat in Hopkins, Belize.
