"This is a bit tricky. Sure good care is available, but I have seen Americans get treatment for an emergency and their insurance would be fine with that but tell them to go stateside for follow up treatment," remarked another expat in Patillas, US.

"In the United States, medical facilities and medical care are generally of a very high quality. The country is home to some of the world's best hospitals, specialists, and medical technology. Patients in the US can generally expect to receive a high standard of care from qualified clinical professionals. The delivery of care is driven by evidence-based practices and technology, making for advanced and innovative treatments. With quality of care measures benchmarked at the highest standards, the US remains a leader in advanced medical research and treatment options," said a member in United States.
