How are local medical facilities in Kiribati?
We asked members about local medical facilities in Kiribati, they wrote...
"Medical facilities and medical care in Kiribati are limited. The country has only one hospital, the Tungaru Central Hospital, which is located in the capital city of Tarawa. The hospital provides basic medical services, but lacks the resources and personnel to provide more specialized care. There are also a few health centers located throughout the country, but they are often understaffed and lack the necessary equipment and supplies. In addition, access to medical care is limited due to the country's remote location and lack of transportation," remarked another expat who made the move to Kiribati.
