Is the cost of living in Afghanistan high?
We asked people about the cost of living in Afghanistan, they wrote...
"The cost of living in Afghanistan varies significantly across the country. Major cities, like Kabul, Herat, Jalalabad, and Mazar-e-Sharif, are generally more expensive than rural villages. Similarly, the cost of living is higher in the north of the country than the south. The rental price for a 1 bedroom apartment in Kabul is around $600-800 USD and a 2 bedroom apartment around $1000-$1500 USD. Eating dinner at a moderately priced restaurant would cost around $3-5 USD," remarked another expat who made the move to Afghanistan.
