Is the cost of living in Bangladesh high?
We asked people about the cost of living in Bangladesh, they wrote...
"The cost of living in Bangladesh varies throughout the country, since many areas have experienced a significant influx of development and industry in recent years. In urban areas such as Dhaka, Chittagong, and Sylhet that have a thriving economy and vibrant lifestyle, the cost of living is generally higher than in more rural regions. For example, a nice 1-bedroom apartment in an area such as Dhaka can range from $600 to $1,500 per month. A nice 2-bedroom apartment can run anywhere from $1,000 to $3,500 per month. Eating dinner at a moderately priced restaurant in one of these urban areas can cost between $12 and $25 depending on the type of meal," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Bangladesh.
