"The cost of living in Macau is generally higher than in other parts of the country. Areas such as Taipa and Coloane tend to be more expensive than other parts of the city. The rental price for a nice 1 bedroom apartment in Macau is around $1,500 USD per month, while a nice 2 bedroom apartment can cost up to $2,500 USD per month. Eating dinner at a moderately priced restaurant in Macau can cost around $20 USD per person," remarked another expat who made the move to Macau.
