Is the cost of living in Haiti high?

Answer this Question

We asked people about the cost of living in Haiti, they wrote...

"The cost of living in Haiti is generally considered to be quite low compared to other countries in the region. However, the cost of living in the capital city of Port-au-Prince is significantly higher than in other parts of the country. The rental price for a nice 1 bedroom apartment in Port-au-Prince is around $500 USD per month, while a nice 2 bedroom apartment can cost up to $800 USD per month. Eating dinner at a moderately priced restaurant in Haiti can cost around $10 USD per person," remarked another expat in Haiti.
