Is the cost of living in Nepal high?

Answer this Question

We asked people about the cost of living in Nepal, they wrote...

"The cost of living in Nepal is generally quite low compared to other countries. However, the cost of living in the capital city of Kathmandu is higher than in other parts of the country. Rent for a nice 1 bedroom apartment in Kathmandu can range from $200 to $400 USD per month, while a nice 2 bedroom apartment can range from $400 to $800 USD per month. Eating dinner at a moderately priced restaurant in Kathmandu can cost around $10 USD per person," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Nepal.
