What are the visa & residency requirements in California?

Answer this Question

We asked people about the visa & residency requirements in California, they wrote...

"In order to obtain a visa for California, applicants must submit a completed visa application to the United States Department of State. Other requirements may include attaching proof of identity, paying the visa fee, and submitting a valid passport. After the visa application has been processed, the applicant's visa permission will be indicated on the passport. The process of obtaining residency in California is more complex. The applicant must fulfill several requirements such as establishing residence in California and filing the necessary paperwork. In addition, the applicant may need to provide proof of sufficient funds and prove that they are able to support themselves financially. They may also need to demonstrate good moral character and have a valid passport to reside in the United States. The process is usually completed upon review of the application and when the agreement is signed," remarked another expat who made the move to California.
