What are the visa & residency requirements in Ohio?

Answer this Question

We asked people about the visa & residency requirements in Ohio, they wrote...

"The process of applying for a visa in Ohio involves submitting all required forms, documents and fees to a U.S. consulate or embassy in the applicant's home country. Applicants must demonstrate a valid reason for entering the United States, such as for educational, business or tourism purposes. Additional documentation may be requested to prove identity, proof of financial support, and comprehensive medical and criminal background checks. Upon approval of the application, a visa will be issued that grants temporary authorization to stay in the United States. The process of applying for residency in Ohio requires the submission of an application to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) offices in the state. The application must include evidence of legal entry into the United States, information about family members or parents, and financial documents. After the application is submitted and reviewed, a biometric scan, interview and other security checks may be conducted to ensure the applicant is eligible for residency, at which time an official status will be granted and a valid green card issued," wrote a member who made the move to Ohio.
