Prescritption Drugs

When moving to the Dominican Republic, make certain that you you have at least a 120 day supply of medication with you when you arrive. The reason is, many of the medications available in the USA are not available in the Dominican Republic. I had a kidney transplant, and my meds which I must take twice daily to survive, are not available in DR. Best advise is to have a family/friend mail them to you via UPS Store every 90 days. Since my meds are life saving meds, I travel every 90 days to Florida to get them myself, not wanting to chance a delay or total loss of my meds.
