Men from DR

Hi All :)
I would like to find out more about men in DR.I came back from holiday in Punta Cana 2 weeks ago .I absolutely loved it. People were amazing and so friendly.I met one of the guys working in the hotel.We exchanged the numbers and since I am back he texts and claims to be in love. Obviously I think this it is ridiculous in my opinion but could I be wrong? is that true that all guys want just to escape from their country ? I would rather move in to DR then bring someone to UK. any advice ? thank you
