I am living in Constanza, ElChorro, a very poor area of the DR. I am looking to purchase a small plot of land 1-3 acres to build a house and to provide missionary help to this impoverished community. I have looked at 2 pieces of land and am blown away by the asking prices. One was $250,000 USD and the second was over $600,000 USD. This is not a beach community; actually other than serving the community, there is nothing attractive about this area that would in my mind warrant a price tag like that. Is this teuly the price of land here or are people seeing an American and thinking we are all rich?
